The stationery for Maria Arana and Javier’s elopement editorial was inspired by the gorgeous moon shaped ceremony pampas arch and their love for nature and natural materials. All the stationery pieces were printed on handmade paper with an absolutely gorgeous texture, made here in Spain, using cotton fibers and recycled paper.
The pampas arch motif was reinterpreted for the invitation card and the vow books for which I used real pampas stems that were carefully shaped in an arch form and secured on the card with edgeless wax seals. Because of the 3d element brought in by the pampas embellishments, a regular envelope could not be used, so I made a custom pocket pouch for the invitation card, that was closed with a small naturally dyed silk ribbon.Β Also theΒ day of stationery pieces were made using the same gorgeous handmade paper. and particularly, the place cards were made in crescent moon shape using a hand deckling technique on the paper.
